American producer Michael Todd (1907 - 1958), who's known for his
Broadway spectacles. His real name was Avrom Goldenborgen.
This famous showman died in a plance crash before he could do another
film. He was married to Elizabeth Taylor.

James Poe, John Farrow, and S.J. Perelman received Oscars for Screenplay
(Adapted). While Lionel Lindon was awarded the Oscar for Color Cinematography.
Gene Ruggierro and Paul Weatherwax shared the Oscar for Editing. Victor
Young received the Music Scoring (Dramatic or Comedy) Oscar.
This was Michale Todd's (famous Broadway showman) first film. He coined
the phrase: "cameo role", since he talked several stars into
doing small bit parts.
