Volcano (1997) - PG13

After yet another conventional earthquake in L.A. an unexpected gush of lava pours forth from the historic La Brea Tar Pits. With scientists discovering an active volcano directly under the megalopolis city, it's only a matter of time before Mother Nature unleashes her wrath on the hopeless citizens of Los Angeles. But when Mike Roark and his crew come to the rescue, can he and a bubbly seismologist save the day before it's too late or is L.A. as we know it about to reduce its economic fortitude to a pile of rubble and volcanic ash?
