THE MUMMY

Set in 1923, thirty-six centuries after the initial action, when a group of archaeologists stumble upon Egypt's Hamunaptra (City of the Dead) tomb site, they discover the bodily remains of Imhotep: a
condemned Egyptian priest who, after killing Pharaoh Seti and sleeping with his mistress, was sentence to being mummified alive with a Hom-Dai curse placed over his tomb.  Accidentally freeing Imhotep from his mummified prison, the archaeologists must find the "Book of the Living," which seems to hold the key to banishing Imhotep and his vengeful wrath once and for all.  The stakes: archaeologist Evelyn's life, and possibly, the world!

The cast includes: Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, Arnold Vosloo, Johnathan Hyde, and Kevin J. Conner.

Written and directed by Stephen Sommers.
