This zaney French film tells the story of 6 seemingly respectable upper middle class people, as they try to sit down together for a meal, but life keeps getting in their way in the form of progressively stranger interruptions, becoming more and more surreal to the audience, who have to discern what is really happening and what incidents are the result of the imaginations of the participants, due to personal worries or even guilty consciences.

Cast includes: Fernando Rey, Paul Frankeur, Delphine Seyrig, Bulle Ogier, Stephanie Audran, Julien Bertheau, and Jean-Pierre Cassel.
