STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT (1996)

After being told by the Federation higher-ups not to interfere in a roaring combat struggle between a Borg Cube and ships from the Federation, Picard decides to disregard his orders when it is apparent that the Federation ships are loosing the fight.  Picard, leading the crew of the Enterprise,  enters into the battle, and manages to destroy most of the cube. But when a small part of the cube escapes and is making a bee line to earth, they follow the Borg back into time, in order to try to save the future earth.

The cast includes: Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Levar Burton, Micheal Dorn, Gates McFadden, Marine Sirtis, Alfre Woodard, James Cromwell, and Alice Krige as the Borg Queen.

Directed By Jonathan Frakes.

Story is based on characters by Gene Roddenberry. Rick Bergman gets story credit, while Brannon Braga and Ronald D. Moore share story and screenplay credits.
