PLOT SUMMARY...
Aliens occupy the bodies of Kirk, Spock, and others.

This episode features an unusual, second hand relationship between Mr. Spock and a woman. Leonard Nimoy fans will enjoy seeing him acting differently than the usual Spock when his body is inhabited by an alien. Diana Muldaur, who later appeared in "Is There in Truth No Beauty", as well as one season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation", is quite good as Dr. Anne Mulhall.

SYNOPSIS...
An Enterprise crew beams into a cave deep inside a planet. They encounter energy creatures, who live in hollow spheres.

First Kirk, then Spock and a female doctor are taken over by the energy beings. Back on the Enterprise, they enjoy having human bodies for awhile.

The Enterprise crew foils the energy beings plan. Kirk and the others are restored to their rightful bodies.
